Backing up the already successful release of Eu Soul, Grooveland Music brings you part 2 to get things moving for the end of this year. This time, Grooveland head-honchos Edground and Wagner chose to do something special by releasing remixes produced exclusive by brazilian artists, thus showcasing the rising talents from different cities from the huge, sunny and beautiful Brazil.
First, the Sao Paulo-hailing duo RyB, who had previous productions and mixes released on established labels like Applefunk, Mutated Music, Reelgroove Rec and Waking Monster Media, takes Eu Soul to whole new grounds, adding their distinctive deep yet fierce and rumbling b-line and sweet and jazzy keys.
For the second remix, we enlisted the talented DJ/Producer Edvaldo Jr. aka Eddie Valdez. Hailing from the sunny Rio de Janeiro, where he had the chance to work alongside world-famous DJ Meme remixing top brazilian artists, Eddie presents us a piano-driven interpretation based over an irresistible uplifiting and discofied groove.
Third remix it’s courtesy of a new face in the game. DJ Daniel D aka Dansoul, hoster of Belo Horizonte’s monthly house party “Discobox”, makes his international debut as a producer with a floor-rocking dub of Eu Soul. You can expect stompin’ beats, funky bassline and a mad sax loop. If you’re into the jackin’ side of house, this is your mix of choice.
Rounding the package, Porto Alegre’s Jarrier Modrow, who produced Grooveland’s second release, lends his magic touch and turns Eu Soul into a summery soulful house stormer, just like the remix name implies. Heart-pounding beats, funkyfied bassline, wicked pads and a sweet piano line are sure elements to drive any househead into complete madness.
The second of three EPs from OVEOUS features a guest spot from Seven Davis Jr. and uses club music to explore identity. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 8, 2020
